environmental challenges: plastic pollution in oceans and coastal areas.

The Role

We’re looking for an AI Waste Detection Intern who wants to apply technology to something that
actually matters.
You’ll work on developing and improving AI systems that detect and classify waste using real-
world environmental data.
This is not a “watch and learn” internship — you’ll be hands-on from day one.

What You'll Work On

• Training AI models to detect and classify waste materials
• Working with drone and sensor data
• Supporting development of AI-powered waste detection systems
• Analyzing datasets to improve accuracy and performance
• Collaborating with our AI & Drone Tech team on real-world applications
• Contributing to:
  • Data analysis tools
  • Reports and insights
  • Environmental impact assessments

What We're Looking For

• Interest in AI/machine learning/computer vision
• Basic experience with Python or similar
• Curiosity for working with data and real-world problems
• Interest in sustainability, environment, or circular systems
• Ability to work independently but also collaborate in a team

You don't need to know everything - but you should be eager to learn and build

Internship Details

• Duration: 3 months (flexible)
• Working hours: 10-15 hours/week
• Location: Remote-friendly

Compensation

• This is an unpaid internship
• Travel/related expenses may be reimbursed (if pre-approved)
